I have read papers which have the idea of economic nationalization; which is one thing, literally. However, the US does not have problems doing business with other countries free enterprises. However, the idea of economic Democracy is important. This idea is based on the material fact in which the power of the market place stays out of the hands of the political elite, except for regulation. They are the regulators and governors or like the referees. Which then allows for the proper balance of power and wealth spread.
This cite again is not about Nationalism. It is about the idea that if a foreign government wishes to procure or at least inter the US market place. They must be at a specific level of check and balance of their government by their people; this is called Democracy. As Democracy allows for the best check and balance. There are two parties or more that go at it in a Democracy. Which means there is no dark spots hidden as each party looks to outst the other, so they can lead. This then means the US gets the best leadership that they possible can.
Therefore, we then see these leaders creating laws and regulations not to own the economy as a party or state power. As they allow the people to own the wealth and vote to decide regulations. This then means it becomes a national security problem when the US allows in countries that do not have a Democracy in their economy at home. This is because we have seen over the years and in history. That specific countries that do not have a Democracy check and balance on their intelligence agencies; which specifically control the economy through a centralized agency like the SASAC; that they will do specific harm to cultures, freedom, and political power balance. As they wish to expand and to dominate via their unchecked intelligence activities of controlling the economy.
Furthermore, if we are to allow the Communist Chinese to come into the US market place, with their SOE's. It is not a matter of economic nationalism. It is a matter of economic Democracy. Already we can see that they are not holding true to their international treatise. Which the WTO made them sign so they could do business in the free market and Democracy world. This contracted stated that the Communist Chinese are not supposed to be subsidizing their SOE's at the hight of the level that they currently are. As this is unfair to the world. As we have seen the problem in the last world economic crash. As they where constantly subsidizing their economy and still are. Which then forced unfair centralization of the worlds economy. Thus leading to major imbalances via the unfair economic and trade activities.
This means that the Communist Chinese SOE's are more noncompetitive. In the long run they will destroy domestic market places if we allow them to. Which is exactly what we saw them do internationally as they heavily abused their ability to gain kindness for their transition. The Communist Chinese have already stated that they will never stop subsidizing their State Owned Enterprises. As such, we get back to the problem that we saw with the SS of the German Socialist Party and the KGB of the Soviet Empire. Which is they will use these entities to create major atrocities to the human peace and civility as they wish them to conquer. Instead of properly competing via non subsidized, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.
We can see if we allow the Communist Chinese in. It will not be a matter of nationalistic economy. As the US does not believe in nationalistic economy in the first place. We believe in individual free markets. As long as they are free markets and enterprises. Therefore, I would have to state that allowing in SINOMACH, Tylsa and NANSHANG would be illegal under international treatise, domestic economic security protocol, and the basic idea of the wish of the majority of American's to live in a Democracy, along with common law of the US economic system. Furthermore, it would allow the Communist Chinese to expand the very entities the US has gone to two world wars against, and one cold war. Which is a nationalistic economy where one party owns the economy and does things like fund genocide and terrorism to make sure their State Owned Enterprise nationalistic economy beats out the worlds.
